Happy, happy, joy, joy.
In case you were wondering, I’ve been MIA due to 85+ hour work weeks – that yes, included weekends – which hasn’t left time for much else lately. Luckily, I love my job. And I’m definitely not complaining. Just sad to not have attended as much of Advertising Week as I had wanted. Or planned. Or hoped, wished, wanted and dreamed. So: In honor of all who did make appearances, I want to express my sincere gratitude to those that so diligently blogged about the week. It’s a great feeling to be in the company of so many passionate people. To know that while I was missing Advertising Week physically, I was still there mentally – that meant a lot to me. So thanks to all you hard working people. Both AWSC Blog Squad members and related industry folk. I find the Fall season a great time to recharge, reorient, reengage and revitalize yourself. That’s why I wanted to take a moment to share with you a wonderful, inspiring book I’m reading. It’s called “The Happiness Project” – and you can relax, like right now. It’s not as “self-help-y” as it sounds. It’s a wonderful collection of 12 steps a writer promises herself to embark on to improve her happiness quotient in life. If you’ve got a long flight ahead of you, or you’re just in the market for a new, motivating read, I suggest picking it up. Work. Love. Social. Family. And especially, the relationship you have with yourself. The book includes several lively and compelling lessons to learn – and apply, if you so choose – to your own life. Happiness week everyone!
Long time; no blog.
