Turn the World inside out

At an early age JR set out to change the world around him by influencing people with art. Fast forward twenty years and he’s now the owner of the biggest art gallery in the world. He’s globally known and respected for exhibiting his work freely in the streets.
I think people like JR are more important in the world today then ever. Despite having been encouraged by my parents to study in the sciences, my love for all things artistic pushed me other ways. I’ve always been a believer in art profoundly impacting culture and people.
I think the translation to advertising here can be similar. That when we use advertising in the best, most influential ways we can (much like JR does with art), that when our brands really say something meaningful and impactful, then we too can turn the world profoundly and with purpose.
I wanted to write this post to bring awareness to JR’s amazing inspiration and to publically vow to answer his wish; to create work that’s influential; work that means something, that has a voice, and stands for something. Lets all support JR’s wish and turn the world inside out with advertising.
